When Ask.com launched a weekly newsletter as part of a larger homepage & brand redesign, they needed to grow their base of email subscribers, with the goal of providing personalized content recommendations from Ask’s content library and increasing engagement with content landing pages.
After meeting with executive stakeholders to understand the email subscription growth goals and meeting with the UX design team to understand the user path, I wrote copy for the sign up widget on the rebranded Ask.com home page. This widget was in addition to a homepage popup
In the three months following the addition of the email subscription form to the redesigned Ask.com homepage, signups tripled in volume, beating AMG’s growth goal (previously the only way to subscribe was via a homepage pop-up ad).
